Estimates and cost

• What does a patio actually cost?

  Most of ours land between $14,000 and $30,000, depending on size, access for the machines, and whether we are fighting a slope. You get a real number after we walk the property, not a range over the phone.

• Is the estimate free?

  Yes, and there is no follow up call two days later. If you want to think about it for a month, think about it for a month.

• Can you match a cheaper quote?

  Usually not. Ask the other outfit how deep their base goes, because that is where the money goes missing. If our number is out of reach we will show you a smaller version we would still stand behind.

• How does payment work?

  A third at signing, a third when the material lands, the balance when you are satisfied. Check or bank transfer. We do not take cards.

Scheduling

• How far out are you booking?

  Design build is running four to five months. Maintenance and snow we can usually pick up inside two weeks. If you have a hard deadline, say so on the first call.

• What happens if it rains?

  Base work stops, planting usually does not. You get a text the night before either way, so you are never guessing whether a crew is coming.

• Do you work in winter?

  Plowing and salt from November. Some hardscape continues into December depending on frost. Design happens all winter, which is the best time to get on the spring calendar.

The work

• Do you do the design yourselves?

  All of it in house. You get a plan with plant names, materials and grades on it, plus a phased option if you would rather spread the cost over two seasons.

• Do you guarantee the plants?

  One year on anything we plant, as long as it is on irrigation or you are watering through the first summer. If something dies we replace it once and we do not argue about it.

• Do you subcontract?

  Not the build. Electrical and gas go to licensed trades we have used for years, and we tell you who is coming before they show up.

• What will you not take on?

  Pools, decks, tree removal over about thirty feet, and irrigation from scratch. We will hand you names for all of those.

Practical

• Are you licensed and insured?

  General liability and workers comp, plus a New Hampshire pesticide applicator license for turf. Certificates go out with every proposal and to your HOA if they ask.

• Will the crew need the driveway?

  For the machine and the material pile, yes, and we walk that with you before day one. On anything over a week we bring our own facilities.

• What areas do you cover?
